443.850 Repeater
The Beaufort Radio Amateur Group sponsors the repeater, which is owned by and located at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in northern Beaufort County. The repeater is set up to work with the SC Heart System.
The repeater is configured with a vertical antenna for local coverage and two Yagi antennas for remote links. A Kenwood repeater, operating through a 4-cavity duplexer, feeds the vertical antenna. Two Kenwood mobile radios each feed a Yagi antenna, with one pointed north and the other south. This arrangement allows the repeater to connect to other repeaters in multiple ways. An Arcom controller manages all link connections.
